BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: Shaun provided the lyrics and idea for the main vocal melody. My role was to write and arrange the music based on his idea for how he wanted it to sound , support with minor lyrics alteration, and record the full song.

SLEEP: Shaun provided the lyrics and main chords for the verse. My role was to fine tune the music, including writing a bridge and transforming his demo into a structured song. From there I recorded all of the instrumental parts before recording Shaun’s vocals.

CATCH ME WHEN I FALL: Most of the chords and melody were in place when John brought me this, however it was lacking a clear structure and needed fully arranging. In doing so we ended up altering a number of core elements from the original idea.

FREIGHT SHIP: John brought this song to me with the lyrics fully compiled sitting over a drone. He wanted the music to more closely follow the journey being taken in the song, as well as representing the momentum of the ship.

SHOT IN THE DARK: Originally presented as a rough acoustic guitar and vocal, this song idea was reworked around the rhythm section. Hooks were brought out from the initial idea and the full arrangement was built up from there.
